Blake – Trampoline

 In Thank yous

To the Make a Difference Foundation, We are writing to you to express how grateful we are for your kindness. Your generosity has enabled our 11 year old boy Blake to have funded a SpringFree trampoline. Blake suffered a brain injury in 2018 from entering an epileptic status from encephalitis (inflammation of the brain). Blake spent 10 weeks at Monash Children’s Hospital with periods of time where we weren’t sure if he was going to survive. 5 years on with lots of rehabilitation and great teams of support behind him all aiming for his goals, he is back at school and making significant progress at each goal set for him. Blake suffers with chronic fatigue, behavioural issues, seizures and struggles to regulate himself and his behaviours/feelings. The trampoline gives him the freedom to jump and move his body in a safe environment, to calm and regulate himself. We are so very grateful to have this equipment in the safety of our own backyard where he can access it at any time. If it wasn’t for the MAD Foundation and Giant Strides Occupational Therapy this equipment wouldn’t be available for Blake. Thank you, you have definitely made this little boy’s year.” (Blake’s mother)
