On Wednesday 24 December 2025, 18-year-old Tom Davies completed an extraordinary personal challenge, running 50 kilometres a day for 15 consecutive days to raise funds for the MAD Foundation.

Tom’s effort was driven by a genuine desire to help others and was marked not only by physical endurance, but by the attitude and purpose he brought to each day of the challenge.

Public attention built steadily throughout the campaign, culminating in coverage by Channel 7, and a radio interview on 3AW. The 3AW interview was initiated by Chris Lynch, who spoke with Shane McInnes earlier that same day to help shine a light on Tom’s effort and the cause he was supporting.

During the challenge, Tom completed one of his runs as laps of The Tan Track in Melbourne, where members of the MAD community came together to walk laps, cheer him on, and show their support.

MAD Ambassador Sean Lynch, who was supported by the MAD Foundation many years ago, attended on Day 12 and again on the final day (Day 15) to show his support for Tom’s challenge.

Tom’s MyCause fundraising page remains available for anyone who would still like to contribute, with all funds raised going directly to support MAD’s work.
