Jason Richardson began his journey in elite sport by winning the 1993 Stawell Gift and went on to race at national and international level over the 100m – 400m, winning the 1996 British Professional 200m Championship.
Jason’s sports media career started with Channel 10 as guest reporter on Sydney 2000 Olympics. Jason was a foundation host of 24 hour Melbourne Sports Radio station SEN-1116 in 2003 and has worked extensively on SEN hosting all the key daily programs, plus AFL Football, the Spring Racing Carnival, Track and Field and Cricket. Most recently Jason anchored the coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics from PyeongChang.
Jason has been actively engaged and involved with MAD dating back to 2001 when he was a committee member for the inaugural MAD Ball. Jason was the MC of the MAD Ball from 2009 to 2012 and now his support extends to a formal position as an Ambassador of the Foundation. In 2020 Jason was the face of MAD in the hugely successful #MADhour campaign that was held in place of the 2020 MAD Ball.
