Aadi – Technological aids and OT

 In Thank yous

Aadi is a wonderful 13-year-old boy who has goals of increasing his independence in daily living tasks and using technology to improve his ability to communicate and engage in leisure activities. These things are difficult for Aadi, as he has quadriplegic cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, non-verbal communication skills and focal epilepsy.

The wonderful team at RCH VPRS have provided multiple therapy blocks for Aadi and have identified ways to increase capacity in these areas. They approached MAD to request funding for technological aids and occupational therapy sessions to refine Aadi’s skills and utilisation.

Aadi was born in India and relocated to Melbourne and remains without citizenship and the financial support of NDIS. These items would otherwise have been inaccessible for his family.
