About MAD

The MAD (Make A Difference) Foundation Inc. is a not for profit organisation established to raise funds primarily to assist disadvantaged children and youth in the community.

MAD was formed in 2001 by group of long time friends who made a commitment to establish and foster the foundation. Why? As parents of young children, we collectively realised that by working together we could make a significant difference in our community. From that, MAD was born to Make a Difference.

MAD recognised that many smaller community based groups were in need of support for specific projects to assist disadvantaged children and youth in the community. The foundation has raised over $400,000 since its inception.

The main objectives of the MAD Foundation Inc. are to:

• Raise funds for specific projects for disadvantaged children and youth

• Increase awareness for those groups through MAD events and networks

• Challenge all of us to ‘step up and make a difference’ - encouraging us all that a little effort can make a big difference to people in need in our community and there are countless organisations and causes looking for support from people willing and ready to ‘step up and make a difference’
